A table plan tells your guests where to sit. Add your guest list to Seating Solver, say who should sit together, and it suggests a plan. You can move anyone by hand. Then print the table plan, place names and table numbers on A4.
How to make a wedding table plan
- Add your guests by pasting names or importing an Excel or CSV file.
- Set the rules: who sits together, who sits apart, who sits next to whom.
- Add your tables: round, long or other shapes.
- Press the seating button, then drag anyone to a different seat.
- Print your table plan.
Plan your top table
Add a long table or a head table, and mark who should sit there. Many couples seat the wedding party at the top table; some prefer a table for two. Either way, you can try both layouts and keep what looks right.
Place names and table numbers
Place names are folded cards with each guest’s name, in several designs. Table numbers are folded cards too, with the name on both sides. Both come from the same plan. See place cards and table numbers.
A table plan for the entrance
Print your table plan as a poster listed by table or A to Z. Add a QR code and guests can look up their table on their phone. The lookup needs a free Google sign-in. See the seating chart sign.

How do I make a wedding table plan?
List your guests, group them, decide who must sit together or apart, and then assign tables. Seating Solver does the first draft from your rules, and you adjust it by hand.
What is a top table?
The top table is where the couple sit at the reception, often with the wedding party or close family. It is usually at the front of the room.
