Previews of a seating chart poster, a table number and a sheet of place cards from the same plan

Type your guests into Seating Solver once and print a folded place card for each of them. Names and tables come from your seating chart, so nothing needs typing twice.

  1. Add your guests and seat them in the planner.
  2. Open the print view and choose place cards.
  3. Pick a design and paper size (US Letter or A4).
  4. Print on card stock, cut along the crop marks, and fold along the dashed line.

What is on each card

  • The guest’s name on the front.
  • Optionally the name on the back, upside down, so the guest across the table can read it.
  • Optionally the table number.
  • Optionally the meal choice.

Place cards or escort cards?

Place cards mark one seat. Escort cards tell guests which table to go to and are usually picked up at the entrance. Seating Solver prints cards with the guest’s name and, if you choose, the table number, so you can use them as either. Sort them by table and set them out, or place them at the seats.

Printing tips

  • Use matte card stock of about 65 lb (176 gsm) so the cards stand.
  • Print one page first and check the fold.
  • Print a few extra cards for last-minute guests.
